A structured Yoga program
Yoga for Longevity is a program we have developed to enable older participants to begin or maintain a yoga practice.
Incorporating traditional yoga postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and guided relaxation (yoga nidra), the Yoga for Longevity program allows all participants – regardless of their age or previous activity levels – to experience the holistic benefits of a regular yoga practice.
Yoga for Longevity is offered as an in-house program within retirement and supported residential settings, and to community-based seniors groups, with all mats, blocks and straps provided.
Our program can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your group, with each class designed to enhance every participant’s wellbeing, supporting them to
develop and maintain strength and flexibility
improve digestion and circulation
increase their confidence, resilience, self-esteem and powers of concentration
reduce the negative impacts of stress and anxiety
Most importantly, our Yoga for Longevity program offers an opportunity for participants to come together as a group to share an hour of positive activity within a secure and nurturing environment.
A qualified and registered Yoga teacher who also holds First Aid certification teaches all Yoga for Longevity classes.
